Greetings everyone, finally going through a pile of mail, and preparing for a town hall in Fresno tonight with Joseph and Debilyn. I look forward to the next time in portland, I miss you folks. Mark, thanks for the book suggestion, I'll try to get to that, seems a critical part of the puzzle.
in trust and gratitude...

I will discuss this with my core team and get back to you by Monday. In your last e:mail there was mention of mission / vision statements. Without spending a lot of time, I was not able to locate these statements. Please forward them if they are available. I look forward to learning more about your organization and exploring potential synergies to work together to advance the cause for freedom.

Hi Mark -- We're planning a Portland follow-up meeting at Walt's house (1722 NE Clackamas St.) on 11/19...maybe you can give us a report then about the 11/17 meeting...if Tom Hann and/or SW Washington colleagues have energy to gather 10-20 folks, I'd be happy to come up and do a house party "transpartisan 101 igniter" on 11/20. Thanks for your forward moving energy! Joseph

Also--anyone wishing to hear more about Thomas Greco's work and hear a presentation by Collin Ferguson, one of the founders of the PDX Community Exchange Network--he'll be making a presentation to our 4th Plain Corridor Revitalization Task Force meeting next Thursday, 11/12 at 5:30 PM. Let me know if you'd like more info on where to go.

Walt and fellow Alliance friends

I just sent you an email connecting with Tom Hann and the We the People Washington group that's very active in SW Washington. It looks like very mutually inclusive agendas and purposes. I plan to attend their meeting on Nov 17th at 6:30 PM to further explore the opportunities.

What a great conversation with Joseph last month to get this Portland Alliance launched. I have much hope for a passionate group to come together in seeking ways to transcend the partisan mileau that compromises our future happiness and well being.

On this note and as an extension of the inaugural conversation--I want to emphasize those of like mindedness to take the time to acquire Thomas Greco's book "The End of Money and the Future of Civilization" for a clear understanding of how the current financial/monetary system drives this Partisan Pathology--and the resultant 'devaluation' of all that is precious and necessary in building true community.

Thomas was here in Portland this weekend--and his partnership with the locally-based PDX-CEN (Community Exchange Network) seeks to incubate "the" model for transforming our relationship with the concept of 'Value Exchange.' It facilitates mobilizing true Community-based Economic Development that acknowledges the inherent value within every human being and seeks to put that value into a productive contribution to a better society at a very local scale.

I believe it is one of the keys to hope for our future--what I refer to as the "Pathway to the Promise" in our Pursuit of Happiness" for all.
